Veterinarian - Equine Jobs in Sunshine Coast - October 2026

Working as a veterinary professional on the Sunshine Coast

The Sunshine Coast's veterinary market runs from Noosa to Caloundra and inland through the hinterland, mixing lifestyle-clinic roles with busy suburban hospitals. Population growth continues to outpace the local vet workforce, so clinics here advertise persistently for both permanent staff and locum cover.

If you want coastal living with a genuine year-round job market, this is one of the strongest regional options in Queensland.

Equine veterinarian roles

Equine practice in Australia spans pleasure-horse ambulatory work, stud medicine (particularly in the Hunter Valley and Victoria's thoroughbred heartland), and specialist racetrack roles. Positions are concentrated in regional centres, and experienced equine vets are among the hardest roles for clinics to fill.
