Veterinarian - Equine Jobs in Gold Coast - October 2026 (0)

Working as a veterinary professional on the Gold Coast

The Gold Coast and Tweed Heads region has one of the fastest-growing populations in Australia, and its veterinary job market is expanding to match. Beachside and hinterland clinics, 24-hour animal hospitals and a strong locum circuit mean regular openings for vets and nurses at all experience levels.

Seasonal population swings make the region especially reliant on locum relief over summer — a reliable source of short-term work for travelling professionals.

Equine veterinarian roles

Equine practice in Australia spans pleasure-horse ambulatory work, stud medicine (particularly in the Hunter Valley and Victoria's thoroughbred heartland), and specialist racetrack roles. Positions are concentrated in regional centres, and experienced equine vets are among the hardest roles for clinics to fill.
