Veterinarian - Large Animal Jobs in Townsville - October 2026 (0)

Working as a veterinary professional in Townsville & North Queensland

North Queensland's veterinary market — Townsville, Cairns and the regional centres between them — offers tropical living plus genuinely scarce skills supply. Clinics here routinely sponsor overseas-trained vets and offer retention incentives that capital-city practices rarely match.

Large animal veterinarian roles

Large animal vets work with cattle, sheep, pigs and other production animals, typically in regional and rural Australia. Demand consistently outstrips supply, so these roles frequently come with above-market salaries, vehicle allowances and housing. Many positions also include some small-animal work — check each listing's caseload split.
