Veterinarian - Equine Jobs in Geelong - October 2026

Working as a veterinary professional in Geelong

Geelong's veterinary market serves a large and growing regional population, from suburban clinics to mixed practices across the Surf Coast and Bellarine Peninsula. Its proximity to Melbourne makes it a popular option for vets and nurses who want regional pay-and-lifestyle advantages without leaving the state's job market.

Equine veterinarian roles

Equine practice in Australia spans pleasure-horse ambulatory work, stud medicine (particularly in the Hunter Valley and Victoria's thoroughbred heartland), and specialist racetrack roles. Positions are concentrated in regional centres, and experienced equine vets are among the hardest roles for clinics to fill.
