At Forest Hill Veterinary Hospital, we’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our team - and we’d like to know what makes work enjoyable for you. 

Maybe surgery and anaesthesia is your happy place. Maybe you’re the person junior nurses turn to when they need a hand. Maybe you spot a clunky process and immediately think, - surely we can do this better. 

Strong surgical and anaesthetic skills are essential. Beyond that, we’re interested in your strengths, your ideas and where you’d like your career to go. Even if a good working role is just one where you get to be happy: we would like to support that.  

We’re open to full-time, part-time and flexible arrangements. For the right person, we’re happy to build a role that makes good use of your experience and gives you room to grow.

We’re proud of our long-standing support of the French Bulldog Rescue. We donate our time and expertise to perform BOAS surgery, helping rescue dogs breathe more comfortably and get a fresh start in life. 

Where you come in 

You’ll be involved across the hospital, including: 

• Preparing patients for surgery, monitoring anaesthesia and supporting recovery. 

• Nursing hospital patients and advocating for their comfort and wellbeing. 

• Assisting with a varied surgical and medical caseload. 

• Performing admissions, discharges, blood collection, IV catheter placement and general nursing procedures. 

• Helping clients feel informed and supported. 

• Maintaining high clinical standards and keeping the day running smoothly. 

• Supporting less experienced team members and sharing what you know.
