Veterinarian/s Wanted - Surgical and/or Consultation

We are a rescue group based in Gladysdale Victoria, nestled amongst the stunning rolling hills of the Yarra Valley. We reside on a 100 acre animal sanctuary. Think goats, pigs, cows, horses all looking happy as you drive in each morning! 

The role: We treat a high volume of dogs and cats for routine and more complex consultations and surgeries. We have all the expected equipment to ensure a high level of care (dental radiographs, general radiographs, in house bloods and a brand new ultrasound machine). Most importantly, a fun and highly skilled group of nurses to make your day flow well. 

We are expanding and have an opening for one vet seeking a varied role, or a number of vets that are interested in a select day. Our consultation day can be performed via telehealth from the comfort of your own home. Our 2 surgical days will happen on-site in Gladysdale. We expect these vets will work well alongside each other (if a split role) to ensure efficient and consistent treatment of all our patients. 

A keen interest and experience with animal behaviour will be hugely advantageous as this makes up a large component of our consultation base. For our surgical vet/s, confidence in your ability and efficiency for all routine procedures (desexings/dentals/x-rays) is a must as you will be sole charge in the clinic. We fit a lot into a day so being a great team player, being able to think on your feet and being flexible in the flow of the day is important.

This will start out as a casual opportunity with the possibility of transitioning into a PT/FT role for the right candidate.
