Greencross Vets O'Connor is looking for a passionate and experienced Practice Manager to join our close-knit team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified and registered Veterinary Nurse who enjoys leading people, building a positive team culture, and helping a clinic thrive. You'll combine hands-on nursing with leadership responsibilities, making this the perfect role for someone who loves both patient care and people management.

While this is ideally a full-time position, we are also open to considering part-time arrangements for candidates with previous Practice Manager experience.

About the Role

As Practice Manager, you'll play a key leadership role within the clinic, supporting both the team and the day-to-day operations of the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading, mentoring, and developing our nursing and reception teams
• Creating and maintaining a positive, engaged, and accountable team culture
• Managing rostering, stock control, administration, and clinic operations
• Monitoring business performance and supporting KPI achievement
• Working closely with the Vet Director and regional leadership team
• Driving local marketing and community engagement initiatives
• Delivering exceptional service to both clients and patients
• Supporting workflow management and operational efficiency
• Undertaking hands-on veterinary nursing duties, including:
  • Surgical nursing
  • Anaesthetic monitoring
  • Hospital and treatment nursing
  • Pathology and laboratory work
  • Emergency and critical care support

This is a genuine hybrid leadership role that allows you to remain connected to your patients, clients, and team while driving the success of the clinic.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
• Is eligible for or holds WA Veterinary Nurse Registration
• Has a minimum of 3 years' veterinary nursing experience
• Has previous Practice Manager experience or proven leadership experience within a veterinary clinic
• Enjoys coaching, mentoring, and developing others
• Leads with positivity, accountability, and empathy
• Has strong communication and customer service skills
• Possesses excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
• Is confident balancing clinical, operational, and people leadership responsibilities
• Has experience with RxWorks (desirable but not essential)
